COMMON CORE STANDARDS

The common core state standard (CCSS) is intended to get students ready for college and careers. It is evident in all grade-level standards that students are expected to read and write using literacies other than traditional literacy. The CCSS expects that teachers introduce the students to technology and various media as early and as kindergarten through high school. The student is expected to read on a digital device, research, write,  publish their writing, and collaborate with peers. Teachers should provide students opportunities to develop these skills. The sample provided below are meant to show continuum in digital literacy in our curriculum.
